AECL english french association
association d'échanges culturels et linguistiques
The association was created in 2000 by a group of people living and working in France who recognised a need to join with English and French speaking people of all nationalities who lived in the area to meet together in a social context. It started as a membership of 40 and now it has over 150 with a mix of 50/50 French & International. The main objective remains to provide a social and cultural programme for members. The programme reflects the varied membership – young, older families, students, retired, professional … - especially through traditionally British and French events.

Join one of our members' independent activities, go walking, find out what plants grow best here, join the choir, try your hand at cooking or learn how to make an imaginative gift in paper.......CLICK HERE

Visit a museum or the opera house in Bordeaux on one of our frequent cultural visits. Or attend one of our annual events including summer BBQ,Scottish Night and Christmas party.......CLICK HERE
